Started taking Wellbutrin to try to quit smoking...

Man do I feel weird. It's like being stoned without the fun part. Anyone else ever try this stuff? I hope it works cuz if the effect stays like this I'm not gonna get much work done. [img]eek.gif[/img] [img]tongue.gif[/img]

never been on that but i here it makes you feel that way. most prescription meds don't do much of anything for me. i have to take the good stuff just to get rid of a damn headache! but let me tell you this... if it makes you crazy like some stuff my doc just put me on.... QUIT!! i decided i would deal with the prob instead [img]wink.gif[/img]

While you guys are here I'm going to ask. What does smoking do for you? Buzz? Relax? I tried cigarettes as a kid, but found nothing enjoyable about it.

Coffee. I don't like the taste. The answer I always get is, "you don't know how to make it." They then proceed to make their wonderful cup of java or take me to their favorite coffee shop. You know what? It still taste nasty.
Same thing with beer. I have my occassion social drink, but only to get a buzz. Just to get that buzz is a bitch 'cause beer don't taste good to me.

I started smoking in Junior High to fit in with the 'cool' kids. Really dumb but that's the world of a 14 year old. Then the nicotine got to me and the rest is history.

I get NOTHING out of it now. It's just a big, expensive pain in the ass. But the nictine is some powerful shit. Wellbutrin is supposed to make it a lot easer to get over the cravings. It's worth a shot - God knows I've tried everything else! [img]graemlins/grrr.gif[/img]

But normally, if an addicted smoker stops suddenly, getting a cigarette is about all you can think about. I get dizzy, irritable, shakey, etc. All kinds of horrible sid effects. It's not fun. [img]frown.gif[/img]
